Matrox RT100 editing question

Hi all -

When editing with the Matrox RT100 w/Premiere Pro and applying the effects/transitions, does it matter in what order you apply the Matrox effects vs. Premiere's effects vs. other 3rd party effects in order to obtain realtime functionality?

Thanks for any insight regarding this.

Hi Andrew, and welcome to DVI,

Yes, the order does matter. Check the Release Notes that came with your RT.X100 for specific information.

Thanks Ed...for both the welcome and reply!!

I don't have the card so I won't be able to do as you suggested. I am searching for a good "dedicated card" solution for Premiere Pro and have been perusing these forums to see what people suggest / recommend.

Thanks again Ed.

RTX-100

hi
I have the Matrox card and have been quite pleased. Before this I had their RT 2000 and traded up.
In any case, what I suggest is that you go to their forum and read various threads. Yes, there are problems, but often they have nothing to do with Matrox, but rather other programs or the equipment.
I use a "non-certified" board and am doing fine. I did have a problem with DVDit but have switched to others such as Adobe, and DVDit's latest (5).
Computers are so complex and the inter-industry standards are so loose that there are almost sure to be conflicts. ( I used to use Roxio, but my present CD/DVD drive does not support it.????

Good luck
Martin
