Opening Mpeg2 files Resets my Display Settings.

Whenever I open or preview an mpeg2 file (in any program, even explorer) one of my displays is reset to 640x480, as well as the refresh settings (it resets it to 60hz). This only happens on one of my two monitors, but it never fails to happen (even when I only have one monitor enabled).

I have a Gainward Geforce FX 5950 w/ 256mb ram - latest drivers.

I also have WinXP (with SP2) all updated, but this problem has been around for months.

I just did a format and reinstall.

Does anyone have any ideas? Is this normal? heh.

Thanks.
