hp photosmart 7960 and the 10D
Hi,
could find no other place to post this. Mod's please move if necessary! Got my 10D, installed the software, all working perfectly and the USB connection works with no apparant conflicts. Same day bought the 7960 plugged in, installed software, printed some trials....no problem. BUT....every time I boot the PC it hangs. In BIOS is gets as far as the memory line and displays the letters Memor indicating that it is hanging on the memory test. When I unplug the USB cable and reboot it reboots fine, once rebooted I can then plug in the cable and the printer works fine. This error is 100% repeatable. OS W2000P Abit IC7G 1 Gig Matched Kingston 400 Ram 3 Gig processor Any ideas Cheers Andrew

That is interesting...
Have you tried a different USB port? It might be worth searching HPs website or google to see if anybody else has come across the problem. Does it do the same if you have the printer turned off but still connected? Cheers,
