Editing for 16:9

Hello guys,
I was hoping to get some feedback as to the types of capturing/editing software that would best suit 16:9 footage shot on DV Cam.?

Im using a Sony PDX10P.

Adobe Premier and Premier Pro both do 16:9 native, just about any program that you will use today will be able to do widescreen. HD is a different story, for that you will be looking for HD specific software.
