MediaStudio Pro 7 realtime preview question
I recently upgraded from running MSP 6.5 on an 866 MHz Pentium III to running MSP 7.01 on a 2.8 GHz Hyper-Threaded Pentium 4. For some reason, regardless of of where the sliders are positioned in the Playback Options dialog box, when I press Shift+Spacebar to preview a selected portion of the timeline, Video Editor pauses, sometimes 10 seconds or more before beginning playback. The only way to eliminate this pause is to uncheck the Multi-threading box in the Playback Options dialog box. Shouldn't performance be better WITH Hyper-Threading utilized???
A little confused and disappointed, T.J. |

Hi Tim,
I don't use Media Studio. Yes performance should be better with hyper threading. However saying that some programs don't like it. Being that Media studio has the option to utilise it then I would expect it to work properly. Maybe you should try Media studios forum (if they have one) or do a google search? There are a few people who use the program in our forum but are quite thin on the ground. All the best,
