HD30000U D-VHD deck computer install help
I have the DH30000U D-vhs deck and I am planning to use it with my firewire card on my computer, along with my hd10u. I noticed when I pluged the firewire cable into the deck from the computer the plug-and-play installation stops at hardware wizard looking for av/c tuner. Does this unit not install and can it not be controlled by a computer. If it can then am I missing a driver or some other software. I have a athlon64 using widows xp home. HELP.

Dwight,
Normally you do not need to install any drivers for decks/camcorders etc. Windows XP normally installs it automatically. What happens if you click cancel on the hardware installation, does it still install? Was there any CD supplied with your deck? I am not familar with your model of deck. Cheers,

Ed, when I stop the hardware install xp says it has not been properly installed. It did not come with a CD and JVC says that although they know it can be controlled by firewire on a computer it was not necessarily designed for that purpose.
