Converting between Aspect ratios
I was wondering, is there a way to convert standard (4:3) miniDV footage to widescreen (16:9) using premiere (or any other software). I tried doing it manually, by cropping, but it just creates 2 black lines under and above the video. The aspect ratio remains the same.

What are you trying to do? Are you trying to create a different
resolution or do just want to add black bars?
