Need to turn down volume on already compressed quicktime file...

Hey all. Well I have a sample music video up on my production website but the volume levels are just too loud. I want to turn them down but when I import to VEGAS or Premiere and then export back out, the recompression wreaks havoc on the file. What's the best quick way to turn down the volume on something like this.

Get Quicktime Pro for $30 -- it allows you to swap out audio files for .mov's with no recompression.
