To upgrade my video card or not
I currently have a Matrox p650 pcie 128. I preview my video from my firewire on my pc to my Canopus then out an RCA to my JVC 15 inch monitor. I'd like to get a nicer preview and was wondering if going with a 1gig video card would make much of a difference. And opinions.

A new video card will not improve the image quality since you're using firewire to pass the video through.

Guess, I'll research a plan B. Thanks.

To get a higher quality image on your preview monitor you can do any of these things:
1. Shoot on a better camera. 2. View on a better monitor. 3. Use as little compression as possible. |
