2D-3D Resolutionfor video?
Hi all,
When creating images and animation for use in video, what resolution should I use? I have been saving it at 720x486 to match the NTSC DV size, only using 72 to 90 ppi. Should I go higher? This is for either broadcast or VHS, not sure yet where it will end up, maybe both. Thanks, Keith |

If you are going to do NTSC you need 720x480. For PAL use
720x576. The thing you need to do, however, is use the correct pixel aspect ratio. For NTSC this is 0.9 and for PAL 1.067. I believe the bigger 3D packages (like LightWave 3D) do this correctly when you choose the right output format (D1 NTSC or PAL).
