xl1s and audio sync
we have experinced problems with xl1 footage and the dv storm when it comes to audio sync, so our work around was to capture in short 10min clips to keep footage in sync, we were told this is because unlike sony canon does not use a steady sync...but this was not teh case with the gl1, does anyone know if this is the case with xl1s?

With the DV Storm, you have to change a setting in the canopus.ini file. I'm not at home right now so I can't reference it, but check the Canopus website product FAQ's for both DV Storm and DV Rex to obtain this info. Or post the question at www.justeditors.com, a superb Canopus discussion forum. Hope this helps,

sorry for the wrong topic, but this has more to do with the way canon samples audio, it does not have a set rate, ...i was wondering if they fixed the audio on the xl1s
adjusting the ini simply did not work for us, using seamless capture worked best... |

If you are asking if you will still have problems with synching on the XL1s, the answer is yes. I still do the batch capture under 10 minutes per clip. Chris' suggestion of editing the ini file is new to me. I will have try it and see.
