Windows codec for DVCProHD Quicktime file?
I shot this little promotional clip for a local bakery on a Panasonic HPX-500, 1080i, 25p. It was edited on a Mac with Final Cut Pro Studio, and I exported the clip from FCP "as is" as a Quicktime movie, thinking it could be opened in Premiere Pro CS3 with no problems.
However, neither Premiere CS3 nor any other program (including Quicktime Player or MPEG Streamclip) can open the file. Premiere CS3 definitely has a codec for DVCProHD, so what's the problem here?
Can I save the file to .avi DVCProHD on the Mac - or what would be the best format to play and edit on a Windows system, that doesn't involve any codec-conversion? I mean just like with Quicktime DV that I can save as .avi in MPEG Streamclip without re-encoding anything.
