Encore file format incompatibility
There is one more thing: Premiere and AE also didn't accept a file...
(I have an .avi file which is 640 in width and 352 in height. Frame rate is 29 frames per second. The problem is: I want to burn this file on a DVD disc in Adobe Encore. But Encore say: Could not import this file. Video files for this project must have a resolution of 720×576 or 704×576. Then i decide to encode this file into a .mpg in TMPGEnc. It didn't work. I try to encode it then in WINMPG. It told me that there is problem with frames. So. My point is: I want to make PAL 3:4 DVD inside Encore, but I can not convert a file. Problem is about size and frame rate if I understand right. I must mention that the only program which was able to do this job was Nero Vision Express, but I was limited about making Menus etc... Nero encode the thing in a right way, that means, when I look it on a 3:4 TV, there are black bars above and below... But I want to make it inside Encore... Thanx for answers... Marko) |

Could you not import the file and then resize it when you are in Encore? This now remeber is coming from a Mac person using DVD SP 2.

After effects should accept it with no problem. 29 frames per second? Strange rate. It should either be 29.97 (drop-frame) or 30 fps if it came from a NTSC source.
