pinnacle edition 5.1 and TV monitor
Hei,
I just get a pdx10p camera with Pinnacle Edition 5.1 soft. Everything is working fine, just one thing I cant find out. How can I connect a TV monitor to my PC to preview on a TV monitor in realtime what I'm editing. I have a "ATI Radeon 9800 PRO 128MB DDR TVout" videocard. Is it at all possible or should I think on additional hardware. Thanks! Marius

Marius,
I believe realtime analogue output with Edition 5 is only possible with the Pro version that comes with its own hardware card and breakout box. From your email I am assuming you have the software only version. If this is the case you can either upgrade to Edition Pro (the pinnacle website should give you more info), or a less costly option could be to buy Pinnacle Moviebox DV hardware that I think will allow you analogue preview from the timeline. However I believe a few people have had problems with the Moviebox hardware and Edition. You are probably best doing a search on “Moviebox” on the Pinnacle Edition Webboards at http://webboard.pinnaclesys.com/ for more information on this second option. Hope this helps.

trough camera
Thanks!
So I was thinking. But I tried to connect a TV monitor to my PDX10p, which was connected trough i-Link to my computer, and I can have a preview. It works.
