pinnacle 8 not capturing
I just need some help getting my pinnacle 8 to capture. This has happened before, when i first set up my computer to edit, it didn't work for about two weeks and then abrubtly started working. The problem arrises now when i moved the computer, everything got plugged back in right "i hope" and i also added a mike into the USB port, it needed to install something but everything looked fine. Then i tried to capture, didn't work. I've tried, unplugging/plugging firewire, turning camera on/off, and restarting system. Any other suggestions?
thanks. |

Try this:
Go to device manager Right click on the firewire port Choose uninstall Shut down the computer Unplug the power cord Remove the firewire card Switch on and boot windows After disk activity has stoped, shut down Unplug the power cord Insert the firewire card Switch on and boot windows After disk activity has stoped, go to device manager Check if firewire port is OK (no yellow exclamation point) Connect the firewire cable Switch camera on Windows should detect the camera If windows detects the camera you should be OK to capture Good luck and best regards, Arnaldo |
