5.1 Sound Authoring. Only Vegas??
Vegas Video's authoring software and reviewers, especially reviewers, make sure to mention that Vegas can create dvds in 5.1 sound--making it sound like it's the only game in town for this capability.
Question: Do the other authoring software titles---Encore, ReelDvd, etc., also offer 5.1 authoring or is Vegas the only one??? I find it hard to believe that titles like the two I mentioned don't offer it as well. Dale |

Premiere Pro and Encore both have 5.1 capability.

Some DVD authroing prodcuts can use 5.1 surround files (ReelDVD, Encore DVD), but htey can NOT create these files. Vegas+DVD allows ytou to create 5.1 surround from the titmeline, as does the new Premeire Pro.

In Premiere Pro you can do it three times, than you must buy the key to unlock the Minetonka encoder. A real shame...
