I'm putting together a new laptop edit system to go with my Sony EX-3. Probably use Vegas. The laptop will have an internal hard drive that should be sufficient to handle one or two projects. But I'll want to archive footage on twin external drives.

What I/O ports on the laptop will I need to feed external drives? What should I be looking for in external drives? Thinking I'll get two that are at least 1.5 terabites. i am limited in physical space so I can't use a big footprint setup.

Thanks
