How to see shutter/iris in NLE?
Hi, is there any software on PC that allows to display in a video footage from Canon XL1 a shutter and iris that has been used?

I have found an answer by myself ;-)

Using that product you will most likely be able to see the tile and date, as well as the timecode, but I don't think you'll see any shutter or iris info. I'm not 100% certain, but I don't think Canon include these in their metadata for their DV cameras.
You might want to email Canon to find out for sure before buying the program. Bill Engeler |

Yes Bill, it does. I mean - it shows the iris, shutter and gain level as well.

It's true that some of the less expensive cameras seem to omit some of the metadata, but I haven't noticed a theme with any particular manufacturer.
There's also a HDV capable version of DVMP Pro due out soon. |
