Firewire problem w/Avid xpress please help
I recently reloaded Avid xpress DV 3 and now it doesn't seem to recognize my firewire card. When I go to settings and try to add a deck, it doesn't allow for a OCHI port. I reloaded again, and still nothing. According to windows the card is okay. It was working great before. Now the record tool only allows audio, from sources other than firewire. I'm also aware of the SP3 problem with Windows 2000, and have installed the 1394 driver from SP2.
I'm at a loss, perhaps I'm overlooking something very simple. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Try un-installing the drivers and let windows find it for you when you restart your computer.
If that doesn't work, un-install drivers, take out the FW card, restart computer. Turn it off, put in the card again. |
