Hard-Drive turned red.
Ok i'm using pc not mac.
When i go to my "My computer" and look at all the drives, one of the externals drives (seagate free agent pro 500gb), the bar that shows how much is used has turned red. 43.8 gb free out of 465 gb. Does the red mean that the drive is getting full or is about to die on me ? Paul.

I don't know for certain, but
(a) If the drive is producing hardware errors you ought to be seeing a clearer message than that. (b) Less than 10% space free is a very tough condition for a disk drive, since it leaves no "work room" to shuffle things around. An external drive has less trouble than a system drive (the one where the OS is installed, i.e. C:) but it would still be considered critically low. So yes, it's probably a drive-almost-full warning. |

Red == Low Space
Has nothing to do with the HDD health. // Lazze
