Chopping up dv footage and saving.
I have captured about 40 minutes of dv video and I want to chop the last 5 minutes off. Is there a way I can do this without going through hours of rendering? I wouldn't think much processing would be needed to just chop off a segment of a video. I guess I'm looking for a way to view DV video in Virtualdub.
Thanks for any help. |

Virtuadub appears to be able to chop off footage as you wish. I don't know if it requires rendering to do that but the tenor of the Virtuadub web sites suggests that the author would not make that type of mistake.

If you only chop off the ending an NLE like Premiere or Vegas
should not do any rendering as well. I don't know if they require you to output to a seperate file though....
