Doing fake bullet holes, and fake gore stuff?

Hey, does anyone know of any tutorials or anything on how to do fake bullet holes? If it's in photoshop, thats cool, because for one i'm great in photoshop (well, not that great or else i'd be able to do this stuff without any tutorials :D) and second, the shots don't have to be moving.

We're planning on shooting something along the lines of a guy on a scooter doing a driveby. I would of used Mark's idea of the bully, but we don't know any kids that young to play the parts of the kids playing games and stuff, oh well.

Anyway, I need to know how to do some fake bullet holes, so I can add them in the sides of cars and stuff. It would be great to do some stuff where it looks like someone got their hands blasted off in photoshop too. Even better, would be a tutorial on how to make it look like someone got shot in the head (even though we are using a good system that makes it look like someone gets shot). Actually, I would prefer it to be in photoshop, since I can export it as a filmstrip in Premiere and do it frame by frame in photoshop...

Alex,

It may sound like a strange idea, but if you have access to these cars, it would look a lot more effective, to print up stickers that look like bullet holes, dark ones for dark cars work better, or on white cars works quite well.

If you don't get too close up they look totally real! And you avoid any digital efects look, which is quite common when doing any compositing.

Go check out CSBdigital.com, they have a program that has plugins for bullet holes and blood and will allow you to import 3D modles from 3DSMAX or whatever. AlamDV2.
