DivX 5.05 Pro problems
Hi,
I just encoded an AVI file in Premiere 6.5 into DivX. Used the profile named "home theather" in DivX Conf. It processed my 15min of video for about 40minutes and produced a 155mb file. When I try to view the film with the included DivX Player all I get is a black picture for 5 seconds and no more.... ideas? When I view the properies for the file it says "DivX 1536kb/sec". Anyone here that uses DivX frequently and are willing to share the workflow that you're using ( and software ) Best regards, Lazze Sweden

Have a look at the DivX codec setup. Maybe you used two (or "nth" in Divx5.05) pass encoding and only run the first step?

Cosmin,
You're head on! Had selected 2 pass encoding! Upgraded to Dr.DivX and got good results ( easy ) // Lazze

I'm glad the problem is solved. Sometimes we overlook the simplest solution, trying to find the BIG answer, you know... :-)
