Creating an edited movie including photos
Hi all, I dont know if this is possible but i guess this is the best place to ask .
At the moment I use Moviefactory or equivalent to create DVD's of my holiday footage and pictures, I like to put the video clips and images together to create an all in one viewing disk rather than have 1 disk with video and 1 disk with stills, basicaly I put everthing to dvd in the order they are taken so I get a bit of video then a few stills then a bit more video then more stills etc. Since I got the HD2 I have tried my standard way of converting to dvd through tmpgenc and moviefactory and it works fine, what I would really like to do is create a video/stills movie whilst keeping the original HD quality of the video. Is their anything that will allow me to insert stills between my hd2 clips and then output it as a high quality video file that i can then watch on my htpc, it seems a waste to not keep the video in HD. TIA. |

Duuuhhh, just realised that moviefactory 6+ allows me to export my videos+pics as a 1280x720 wmv-hd file. Works great and the quality looks almost identical to the original, only problem is it takes a loooooong time to re-encode the video clips , can anyone recommend software that will do this but might be a bit quicker on the encoding side, 4hrs for 8 mins of video and a handfull of stills seems a bit excessive to me (done on my 2600+ sempron laptop, hopefully it will be quicker when I get back home to my desktop).
