Any input on this lens hood?

I'd be using it with a 49mm-52mm step up ring and the Sanyo 49mm adapter.

Sorry I'm a total noob and never owned a xacti, but doesn't the xacti's filter thread rotate when zooming?

Just asking because the Hama website says explicitly that the lens hood can't be used then.
