Has anyone tried the 8gb SD card in the HD1 yet ?
Its pretty darned cheap now but I don't want to buy it without knowing if it works or not and if it does work what happens when you go past 4gb of data in a single clip :-)
You can get one for $96 now !!! http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820211148 Almost cheap enough for me to impulse buy just to find out if it works or not! Chris Taylor http://www.nerys.com/ |

Can you reach the end of the 8GB card before your battery runs out? How much of the 8GB is useable on a single charge?

what about the original OLED HD1 ??
no the battery will not hold for 8gig it barely holds for 4gig :-) so you will definately need to swap batteries or run on external power. I made a power station for it. first I taped the cradle to my tripod. I rigged up 4 7.2v rc batt packs (3amps each) to give me a 6amp 14.4v source that I ran into a miniature inverter to the camera's power pack to the cradle (all this is taped to the tripod) I ran the camera for over 3 hours without a problem save the heat warning indicator coming on (though it kept on recording fine) Chris Taylor http://www.nerys.com/ |
