Storage help - Card store
I found something interesting this morning that might interest SD media users (like the HD1). Sans Digital has an enclosure with a battery that will use a laptop hard drive as storage for a bunch of the different card types.
http://www.sansdigital.com/MS1U.html You have to add a laptop drive, but for around $100+, you can have 60-80GB of portable storage to offload SD cards. Not confirming it works, but it might be something intesting to have if it does work. |

Or...
you could just get an iPod Video with the camera adaptor and use it as both an iPod and a way to offload footage from your SD card(s) to a hard drive. It's worked perfectly for me. My two cents.

You get what you pay for
The 30GB iPod is $249 and the iPod Camera adaptor is $29. True, more money than the above option IF you have a bare HD lying around. Otherwise, this gives you one extra toy to play with ; ) And one that is also likely more portable and can be used for other things as well. But I grant you, it may not be the cheapest option around.

One of my co-workers just bought an Epson player for around $350. I think it is 40GB.
