8 GB Card experiences
8GB SD cards have been available for some time now. Has anyone here tried one with the new firmware?
Does the 4GB per file barrier still apply? I'd like to be able to record HDV uncut and beyond the 4GB capacity. Windows XP on NTFS is compatible with >4GB files, so this is feasible for people with current machines if the cam will do it. Any problems playing native >4GB Sanyo video in Windows or Mac OSX? Any transcoding issues with various editors? File transfer issues? Please post your Windows / Mac OS version along with problems if applicable. |

Once you've removed the conmen selling 8Gb (ie Gigabit) SD cards, I don't think that any 8GByte cards are yet available, though Compact Flash ones seem to be. Have you found some for sale?
