iPod Video Follow-up
"Is this video ipod with photo adapter all off-the-shelf stuff or does this involve some sort of hack job?"
Off-the-shelf. No hack required. Works flawlessly. "Where do you get this photo adapter and is it just a matter of plug and play (or in this case plug and download)?" You can purchase it from Apple (http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPL...plm=M9861G%2FA) or the many other places that sell iPod accessories- Apple makes it. Totally plug and play. See the link Stuart referenced above- I outlined the steps you have to go through to go from HD1 to iPod. "I guess the assumption then is that whatever you might have previously had on the ipod (to view or listen to) will be erased, right? Nope. That's part of the beauty of it all. As long as you have enough space on the iPod, your music and other files on the iPod will remain intact, and your files from the HD1 (video, pics, audio clips) will be stored in a separate DCIM folder. |
