Roman,
Tripods are almost as much a matter of taste as anything else. Take a look at Samy's website, http://www.samys.com/product.php?ItemNo=SLIK617505 Here is one which will do the trick. But clearly you can easily spend more on a tripod and still feel you get your moneys worth. More than anything else, you are looking for smooth movements and a stable support for the camera. If you need to plugin the camera while on the tripod - get one of the tripod adaptors from my website. Hope this helps. Bo www.bophoto.com/HDV |

I have made the Giottos Q-Pod mini-mini part of my standard HD-1 kit, using it almost all the time. It is less than 4 inches long and less than 4 oz., but just heavy enough to give the camera that little bit of extra heft I find it needs for steady shots. I also use it as a chest pod, and occasionally as an actual tripod on the nearest table or chair back. B&H Photo has them for about $22.

I personally don't find that Carson tripod suitable for the HD1 because it has to be carried, rather than pocketed.
Folded Length Approx. 24" (61 cm).
