HD2 Taking stills whilst filming
Hello All
I used to read this forum when the HD1 came out but decided against it after seeing sample videos. Last month I had to claim on my insurance for a kodak camera and received Jessop vouchers. When I went into Jesspos I discovered there was now an HD2! Anyway I'm quite happy with it, the stills are really pretty good and whilst the video is a little over compressed and not great in low light it's better than the 640x480 rubbish of my old camera. Now I thought when I first read about the HD1 that it could take stills whilst recording video. I've tried this on my HD2 with both a class 2 and class 4 sdhc card and found that the video freezes for several seconds whilst taking the photo. Is this because my memory cards are too slow or is it the camera? Also have Sanyo done any firmware updates for the HD1 ie is it likely there will be an for the HD2? ( sorry for such a newbie question I should probably search but since I was asking the other one....) |

I have HD1 and it does the same thing. For that reason, I don't take still pictures while recording video. I think the processor is not fast enough to process full motion at the same time with still image.
