New Ranking of all Action Cameras

Panasonic HX-A500 number 1 (GoPro Hero 3+ number 2):

The video quality assessments are similar to what I have found, with the Sony AS100 video quality far below the GoPro 3+ and of course the Panasonic A500, which has the best.

Re: New Ranking of all Action Cameras

Thanks Mark,

Looking at adding an A500 to our GP and Contour for more options with our POV shooting.

Re: New Ranking of all Action Cameras

Thanks for your help here and your other thread Mark.

Ordered one today to use on our next show. Will be nice to upgrade from our current pole cam which is a old Contour. I am sure the picture will be night and day better.

Re: New Ranking of all Action Cameras

Interesting but not totally unexpected since it's quite a bit newer. Of course, the Hero 4 coming soon may change that pretty quick.

(I'll add, owning one from every manufacturer) the Sony is the one I use on a daily basis due to the great ergonomics.

Re: New Ranking of all Action Cameras

Yea, Hero 4 is not on my radar until I know the wireless works, I rarely use my 3. We need to set them up underwater and see what it is filming so the wired units are best for us at this time.
