Vanishing GoPro offer

I recently attended the SMPTE conference & exhibition in Sydney and Go Pro had a huge stand there and a great deal - enter your details and get $100 of the price of a new black - details will be emailed after the show.

no, they weren't - so I emailed GoPro who seemed to know nothing about SMPTE, the special offer .. or where Sydney was (okay maybe they had heard of Sydney)

now it's not a big thing but it really get up my nose when a company goes to significant expense setting up and manning and stand (there had to be 10 guys ready to preach the GoPro gospel to attendees) and then spoils it by doing something stupid like this.

If any aussies out there attended and remember the deal - PM me.

Re: Vanishing GoPro offer

I also attended this function, I went with four other people we all entered our information into the computer they had set up for a chance to win one of the gopro blacks they were giving away at 3.00pm on the day and by entering you would receive an email with a discount of $100 dollars of the price of gopro black only one person I went with has received an email with a code he has to enter for discount, he forwarded the email to me it quotes $399 less $100 discount $299 he has till December to use, but it looks like the purchase is from the US plus freight. I am disappointed also with no email from them.

Re: Vanishing GoPro offer

I just got a reply back -

Hi Paul,
I do apologize for any inconvenience that this might have caused you. I do regret to inform you that we are not able to validate or accept any coupon codes concerning this event. Any of the coupon codes that are given out from events, have a 2 week expiration date and it is already been well over that 2 week period.
Please let us know if you have any further questions.

I give up

So will they be deleting the information you gave them under false pretenses?

Good chance you got the email, it went into your junk folder as spam, and you never saw it. Just a thought.

Re: Vanishing GoPro offer

Your probably right about the date being American format did not click about date, there was no mention that this special price offered in Sydney was actually from America?

Re: Vanishing GoPro offer

It might have something to do with the fact that the go pro H4 is coming, the silver and the white will be dropped from the lineup. Maybe the supplies are winding down? Pricing just went down on the 3 'es I think.
