GoPro external Mic test
GoPro – Polar Pro Filters External Microphone-Professional Edition GoPro® Hero2 & Hero3
I was looking for better sound from my GoPro as I use it a lot as a general video camera as well as a sports camera. I found a Polar Pro mic at the local Camera House and the price was comparable to the web so I bought it. The extension cable that it come with didnt work (broken wire) so I bought another from JB HiFi for $12. I didnt bother replacing it as it would have been the same cheap crap. Its the "Dead Mouse" pro version. Having the fluffy cover is a must on the bike as it basically eliminate all wind noise. I put together a short video so you can see the difference in the sound quality. My bike is a cruiser with Cobra pipes and is quite loud. But obviously it wouldn't matter what bike you had when you can hear it clearly it makes for a better video. I tucked it behind the number plate for this test.
