Hero 3 black on long timelapse at DVinfo.net

Hi,
I am preparing to purchase two H3blacks for a 14 month timelapse.
The advantage I see with these cameras is that I can charge the camera and transfer the pictures to the computer on the same cable. Another advantage is the weather proof case. The disadvantage is that the lens angle is too wide even on the 7mp mid angle.
Questions:
Is there any lens "tele" adaptor to narrow the fild of view?
Can you recommend a better camera for the job which has to stay in a locked position outdoor for 14 month?
