proDAD DEFISHR Automatic Fisheye Removal Solution
I wonder who will be the first to filter their GoPro footage through the new proDAD DEFISHR Automatic Fisheye Removal Solution. Strange name for barrel distortion, but there you go. ProDAD keep referring to the GoPro in their advertising so they must feel there's a $99 market out there.
It would probably be better for GoPro to market a version without so much (no?) barrel distortion. I'd rather put my $99 up front, as cure is better than medicine. tom. |

Re: proDAD DEFISHR Automatic Fisheye Removal Solution
Sadly it seems like the ProDad is a standalone only and not a multi-NLE plugin like the other software they market. That's a bit of a pain!! You have to process the GoPro footage first before putting it in the NLE.
My brides seem to be quite happy with the semi-aerial view done on medium ..no-one has ever chirped about the curvature ..in fact one bride thought it was "really cool" and wanted more footage in her final video! Chris |

Re: proDAD DEFISHR Automatic Fisheye Removal Solution
I've been using After Effects/Effect/Distort/Optics Compensation to correct fisheye distortion for several years now. You can also create a fisheye effect with "normal" footage that is totally user adjustable.
