Re: GoPro HD3 October ???
Anyone seen their credit card charged that have ordered the new camera? I was going through my account last night and looks like they have charged mine.
Hopefully we will start seeing them in the wild next week.

Re: GoPro HD3 October ???
From where did you order the housing with 25 foot cable ? I am thinking of using this to film kingfishers diving for fish from an overhanging perch.

Eye Of Mine Underwater Video Out Housing GoPro I just got it today. Looks good. Of course this means the housing is a lot bigger than the standard housing. But it does allow a cable to be connected to the camera. The 25-foot cable is very pliable, with an RCA plug at the end.

Re: GoPro HD3 October ???
I saw 32 GB Sandisk class 10 cards at Costco About $26. These are the same cards sold on the GoPro website.

Re: GoPro HD3 October ???
Best Buy has a few.
There is a charging bug showing up in a lot of cameras and I haven't heard anything good about the WiFi yet. IQ is good and so far protune is behaving. |

Re: GoPro HD3 October ???
At the risk of sounding like a whiner, wee bit annoyed that they did that big release night with the countdown timer on their site, which I stayed up till 2am for and spent an additional hour dealing with the site timing out/crashing to get my order in and it's showing up in stores before mine has arrived. Actually don't even think they've even shipped it yet.

Re: GoPro HD3 October ???
My wifi worked briefly, but as soon as I tested out the remote, the option on the camera to connect to the GoPro app disappeared for good.

Re: GoPro HD3 October ???
Hi Ian,
After I updated the firmware I was able to enable the GoPro app in the camera's menu. No live preview, but the controls worked. Next I tried the wifi remote and it worked, but the menu option to enable the GoPro app. disappeared when I did this. Now the only options under wireless controls are for the remote. |

Re: GoPro HD3 October ???
Sorry Kevin, things changed again, just realised this,
For HERO3: App compatibility with the HERO3 will be available for White and Silver Editions on November 12, 2012, and for Black Edition Dec 14th 2012. A software update for your HERO3 camera will then be required before using the GoPro app. |
