Poor quality with GoPro2 footage on disc

Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone else has had the issues i'm experiencing with the quality of the footage from the GoPro 2 when output to BluRay. I shot a day cat skiing with both a GoPro 2 & a Canon HF G10 & the footage looks awesome played directly on the tv, or on the timeline, however, when i go to burn the footage to a BluRay, the GoPro footage is falling apart. I am seeing a bit of pixelation around the skiers where they are going really fast past a background filmed with the Canon, but the GoPro footage looks horrible. Has anyone else had these issues when trying to burn GoPro footage to BluRay?
I have tried various different ways of encoding the footage, even tried burning to DVD to see if it is any better, & every time, while the quality changes with the various different settings & bit rates, the difference in quality between the two cameras is very, very obvious.

Thanks in advance,

Bryce

Hello Bryce

I have worked allot whit Gopro and if I see that field dominance is set to NONE in the
import Browser I got surprising sharp video.I think Gopro is 30p in interlace conteiner.
And use 1080p30 proress 4444 timeline export to vimeo at 15000Mb H264 whit nice
video.I also got this problem before I discovered this none field dominance at import.

All Best
VJV.

VIMEO HD on!!!

Re: Poor quality with GoPro2 footage on disc

Thanks Vidar,
I'm still working on trying to improve the footage shot on the GoPro. It is only when it is burnt to BluRay that it falls apart. The very same file however will play on my TV through my computer, so now i'm thinking it may well be my BluRay player that is letting things down.
I will have to test the same bluray on another bluray player to confirm this.

Regards,

Bryce
