Timelapse with GoPro

I've been approached to do a timelapse video of the construction of a new building in January next year. The construction will take a week and I wondered if anyone could give me advice on the practicalities of using the GoPro for this? There will be a power supply on site, but the site won't be secure so the camera will have to be taken down every night.

I've got the skeleton case which enables me to use a power supply, but that would have to be kept dry somehow if it rained during the construction.
