POV cam, performance capture

I was asked to setup a multi cam layout to capture music performances. They've converted
and old southern church's sanctuary into a small performance hall for bluegrass artists.

The sound is of no concern, they have that covered already.

This is what i recommended thus far...(they have a budget of $3,000)

3 HD (canon) pov cams mounted at strategic locations. (The cams should have
a remote control and be able to capture up to 4hrs of HD footage)
And 1 roaming camera for zooms and closeups. Thererfore, taping should
be close to "invisible" to the entertainers and patrons.

Has anyone here done a setup in this type of environment? Any feedback would
be much appreciated...

Thanks and maybe someday i'll be able to answer somebody else's question instead
of trying to absorb all of the knowledge set forth in this awesome site!

thanks,
james
