Trouble with QuickstreamDv
I'm on my 2nd quickstream drive, the first didnt work at all. This new one worked quite well for 3 days of shooting then stopped working in the middle of a shoot.
The drive won't recognize the camera at all anymore, and now won't recognize my pc either. When I turn it on all 3 lights stay on and it will not go into it's ready state where just the green power button is lit. I have emailed mce support and am waiting their response, I was just wondering if anyone else had a similar problem and maybe a solution. Thanks in advance! |

Sounds like a busted firewire port or control board to me...

I'm just now revisiting this forum and am wondering if you are experiencing this problem with one of their newer "2nd generation" drives?

I had the identical problem with my unit (1st generation) the distributor in Australia organised a replacement from the manufacturer, which was a second generation unit.
So far this has worked flawlessly.
