Compatibility & Back-up

Hi MCE

I am planning to buy your product for my two SONY VX 2000's. Could you let me know whether this product the 1.5 hr and 2 hr disks are compatible to the DV cameras. What would it cost me? Would I need to buy spare battery back-up?
You say continuous recording, what if, a recording is done with clips as small as 8-10 secs, then would your lithium batteries provide the back-up for 1.5 hr recording on your 1.5 hr unit?
Can you provide some input on the expected life of this unit?
Anyone who is using the MCE unit along with a SONY VX2000 could do a lot good to share his/her experience.
MOst of u ppl out there is US use Panasonic models i understand.
THank you.

Malcom: this forum isn't e-mail to the manufacturer and thus some
question might be hard to answer for us.

I have the feeling you are not quite following how this works.
Recording time is based on the size of the harddisk (which
changes with their different models).

I'm assuming how long they can record depends on the size of
battery you will be using and how long you leave the device in
standby.

I can't imagine the device not being compatible with the VX2000
(to be sure e-mail the manufacturer). If it is compatible then the
different sizes don't matter.

We cannot ofcourse answer your question about expected life-
time of the unit.
