GV-D1000 vs GV-D900

Hi im looking to use a DV deck to use in order to capture all my footage to my HDD. I was wondering if anyone knows the diffrence between the 900 and 1000. 900 is cheaper, but does the 1000 have features that the 900 doesnt? Will they also be able to play HD mini dv tapes?

Thanks for all your help.

The GV-D1000 is over 5 years old so it’s strictly a DV unit.

Perhaps you can get something like this if you want HDV:
