HDV not recommended

I guess I'm close to bringing up the much asked best tape for HDV here but my question is slightly different...

I feel there is no difference between bog standard sony mini dv tapes and the Sony HDV master tapes.

The tapes I have most confidence in are the blue pro Sony DVCam tapes. BUT the Sony recommendation in my Z1 manual is not to use DV Cam tapes for shooting HDV.

Does anyone know the reason behind why they would say this? Anyone actually shoot HDV on the pro DVCam tapes?

Thanks

I have shot all my HDV on sony DVcam tapes, and have yet to have an issue. I have justed copied them to full size Sony HDV tape though. (I have all my DV on full size DVcam tapes.)
