Sony DSR-11-Analog video display of TC?
Does anyone out there know if the DSR-11 deck will give you a timecode display on the analog video out so when I play DV tapes I can record window dubs on a seperate vhs or dvd recorder? The manual implies that this is the case but I cannot tell from the manual if I can see timecode or just a time stamp. I know the next deck model up has a seperate 'Monitor Out', but my client really doesn't want to spend the extra $2,000 if he doesn't have to.

Hi Eric
Yes the DSR-11 will show timecode in the top right hand of the picture. It also displays a whole lot of other stuff at the same time which you can't get rid of which is a bit anoying. |

Yes, you can eliminate the display by pushing the 'display' button on the remote.

Richard, when you say you can eliminate' the display with the remote, do you mean the all the displayed info at once or selected parts? Rohan's comment about getting timecode on the analog out only by getting all the other info as well, seems to be what the manual infers but it is hard to tell by just reading.
