No Timecode
Hi, i am capturing tapes to Premiere Pro CS6 from a vcr to an ADVC 100 (via Svideo) to Firewire card. I can record the whole tape in one hit but would rather the capture program detect scenes and auto save them. As there is no detection of the Timecode, is there any way i can do this using the same setup i have? (ie, don't want to purchase any more hardware). I'm thinking no, but just checking.

Re: No Timecode
Some capture programs/NLEs include a scene detection feature/capability that reportedly can parse video based on image content. However, I've not used any of them and cannot speak to whether or not they are effective. I don't know if PP CS6 can do it.

Re: No Timecode
Also, it's not that there is no detection of timecode, but more that VHS never had timecode in the first place.
