Sony miniDV Excellence or Premium? Better Audio Quality? at DVinfo.net

I've been using the Sony Premium miniDV tapes for a while in my VX2000 camera but I'm about to try the higher priced Sony Excellence tapes. I have never had a problem with dropouts with the lower priced Premiums, I am curious if there is a noticable improvement on audio quality (tape hiss).

When I tape interviews I usually record audio onto a portable DAT recorder for a cleaner recording. It would be nice if I didn't have to do this.

Is there a difference in audio quality with the higher priced Sony Excellence tapes?

Won't make any difference at all. It is not analog, it is digital, just 1s and 0s.
