HDD to Digi Beta? Need help

Hello All,

We have only done web shows for clients but now they want to invest more in their budget and make the show for TV.

My question is since I don't have the personal budget to buy a beta tape deck, what do I need to ask/provide a production house that provides transfer/dubbing to digibeta?

Do I just supply the HDD + Tape? Do they need a deck with certain components?

Matt

Edit - just sent an email to a post house here in brisbane FATS so hopefully they should be able to help me and quote me.

I think you would be dead set crazy to fork out the money for a DigiBeta deck. Good thing you can't afford it. :-)

Give ProCam DigiPost in Brisbane a call as they have all the formats to dub to and from. I think the lady there who really knows her stuff is Sheree (it's been a while since I have called). Take a pack of Tim Tams with you when you visit (she loves them).

On the other hand, congratulations on a thoroughly decent opportunity to justifiably increase your pricing! :-P
