Mechanical drag in miniDV cassettes
Has anyone else noticed significant variation in the drag resistance of cassettes being rewound?
I have a Maxell rewinder that gives dramatic indications of this variation, in terms of the sound it makes and its acutal inability to rewind some cassettes without dozens of false stops and repeated pressing of the start button (I discard such tapes). I have found a percentage of such tapes in several of the major brands (Sony, Panasonic, Fuji).

The dozen or so tapes I've used thusfar have given no indication of this. But
that is small amount of tapes, so perhaps I was just lucky...
