Panny / Sony Tapes -- Head Cleaning Mandatory?

I own a Panny DV-953 camera, which I've been running exclusively with Panny "blue door" consumer-grade MiniDV tapes. I did some work for film class that I printed to video, using a Sony DV deck and a Sony red-door premium tape. I've read on this forum before that switching tape manufacturers can gum up the mechanisms, nececitating a head-cleaning. Now, I want to capture the video off the Sony tape to my PC, using my camera, which is "used to" Panny tapes. Its only 60 seconds of footage. What're the chances that doing this once will reduce the lifespan of my camera's play heads?

I know its a paranoid-sounding question, but I'd like to be sure.
